Jambo, karibuni!

This is a Swahili greeting from Eastern Africa meaning hello, and welcome.

My name is Samuel Kingsbury, and I grew up as the son of missionaries in Kenya, East Africa. Born to American parents, I spent the majority of my life in Kenya, traveling several times to the United States to visit. While attending boarding school in Kenya as a high school student, I met the woman who is now my wife, Hanna, a missionary kid who grew up in Kenya and Uganda. We dated through high school and two years of university, and were married in Kenya in July of 2008.

Growing up in Africa has had a profound impact on Hanna and I, changing the way we view the world, and leaving us drawn to other cultures. We serve Africa Inland Mission as teachers at Rift Valley Academy. We both attended the boarding school during our high school years and had a passion to go back and serve. We are always trying to raise a team of friends, family and organizations/churches, who can give financially, pray faithfully and ultimately embrace the passion we have to support missionaries on the field through education.
